I have been a photographer for 27 years working in both social and commercial photography.
In that time wedding photography has become a major part of my work and a real passion.
My work is driven by a desire to produce the very best images possible no matter what the
subject matter. I love the challenge of varied work, one day I can be shooting in the studio
with complete control over lighting and the next I can be on location dealing with whatever
mother nature throws at me.
The varied nature of my work keeps my photography fresh and has enabled me to develop
an array of skills that I call upon to capture your wedding day in a truly unique way. My style
of wedding photography is very much a subtle blend of contemporary portraiture and
unobtrusive documentary styles. With this I create natural and relaxed photographs, capturing the love, joy and celebration of
your wedding day with the minimum of fuss and intrusion.
As a couple looking for their wedding photographer there is an important factor to keep in mind. Your wedding day is one of the
most important days of your life, and the only lasting reminder of that special day will be your wedding photographs. You need to
be comfortable and relaxed with your photographer as this will create the best photographs on the day. So before booking me as
your wedding photographer we should ideally meet to discuss your wedding day and get to know each other. I always advise on
having a pre-wedding photography shoot to become completely relaxed in front of the camera before the big day.
Of course it goes without saying that as a full-time professional photographer I only use professional cameras, lenses and lighting.
I always bring backup equipment in case of breakdowns on the day and I am fully insured.
